UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER PARTY!

As the Christmas season is here, James and I decided to have our "1st annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party!" Little did I know, that these parties have been pretty popular for the past couple years! I went on-line to see if I could get any ideas and I found an actual website made especially for these parties. http://www.uglychristmassweaterparty.com/.
Seriously?? Seriously! Check it out.
Anyways.. there are a lot of different sites you can buy or sell ugly sweaters.
There are the funniest pictures of what people came up with!

Here are my ugly decorations!

Gotta have the puffy paint stockings!

Of course I took a million picuters of everybody that came to our party. So I have posted them for you all to enjoy. We had a contest for the "ugliest or most creative outfit".
You be the judge... Who do you think should win??

Stephanie
Angelina
Erica & Baby
Daddy James
Janna
Nick
So vote and let me know!
I have a few more pics of the rest of the night that will be posted later.
I just wanted to get these up for you all to see!
Our friends Kris & Jade came too, didn't really dress up, but they were excused because
Jade made 2 amazing desserts!
Thanks Jade!

The DeGrado's Blog!

So I was reading a fellow blogger's blog and came to the conclusion that my hubby and I need a blog. Between the two of us we already have 5 email addresses, 3 My Space accounts, 2 Face book accounts, and now this will be my 2nd blog and James' first. Dont forget the 6 bank accounts, 12 credit cards, 5 phone numbers and a partrige in a peartree. If you can't get a hold of us then......... you live in a cave! Or you FAIL at teh Interwebs... (yes , I know I spelled THE wrong... it's a joke!)

A lot has happened in our lives this past year of 2008; but I can say that God has shown us so much and has given us the strength and courage to get through it all. A lot of life changing events occured to the both of us this year: We got married on April 12th, we both turned 30 years old (me in July and James in September), moved twice (the 2nd place is much bigger) (Actually James moved twice, Erica worked both times!) and we found out about a month ago that I'm pregnant! I'm a little over 9 weeks pregnant; due date is July 16, 2009. We are so thrilled to be parents and we have so many people around us that have already blessed us with so many gifts: a crib, two baby swings, a bathtub, toys and more. We realy appreciate all of you and your support. I have to say that James is so excited to be a dad and is the most amazing husband in the world! This comment should be tattooed on your arm babe! He does so much for me and takes such good care of me. He does the cutest things; I just love him so much. We both are reading up on all the things to expect while being pregnant. I have to say I am not reading " What to Expect When You Are Expecting". I know , I know, I need to get that book but I have another really good book called , " Your pregnancy , Week by Week" It's great! It gives me so much information. James has a book that is called " Dad's Pregnant Too". It gives him all the tips about his wonderful pregnant wife and gives pointers on all the mood swings and body changes that I will go through. Even has pointers and tips; like Tip #8- Always watch your fingers when feeding your pregnant wife... what goes in doesnt always come back out. I also bought him this really funny book called " My Boys Can Swim"; its quite hilarious and definitely a Toilet reader. The day I got it for him he started reading in bed, I was absolutely exhausted and trying to fall asleep; he was laughing and laughing as he read along. I'm so glad that he enjoys it. : )

This is from our 1st Dr. appt. I have another one and the baby is already 2 times this size.

In the midst of all of this we had Thanksgiving at our new place this year. I have to say that not only is James the best husband ever, but he is a great cook too! He made our turkey and I think he really enjoyed the labor involved; am I right babe? YES! You are right, I am the best husband ever! LOL It was a lot of work preparing the turkey but it turned out amazing. Everyone brought all the other fixings and it was delicious. I think we just threw out the remaining leftovers 2 days ago.

Now it's Christmas season and we have our first tree up, its filled with lights and ornaments.
We are starting some Christmas traditions of our own as we celebrate our first Christmas together as a married couple. I pray that this next year to come is filled with new adventures; I know being parents will be one for sure.

Well I hope you all visit our blog to get the updates on our baby and our lives.

God Bless you all; have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
