Dashing through the snow...

I guess the closest we'll get to "dash through the snow" is singing this song.... ; )

Decorating , wrapping, baking, shopping, singing , laughing all the way..." Ha Ha Ha"
That's what December is all about ; )
Last weekend we decided to pull out our decorations and decorate our house. It was a lot of fun setting everything up. Thanks mom for helping out too ; )

James set up our Christmas tree and decorated it.

We set up the "Children Nativity" scene.

Decorated our new mantle with stockings and lights.

The more lights and candles the better ;)

Jacob enjoyed the lights on the tree ;)

And the Reindeer stuffed animal that was daddy's when he was little.

We've been able to enjoy our Fireplace a lot this year.

We are so blessed and happy that the year has come to a finish.
We are ready to see what God has in store for this year to come.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas time is here...

Christmas time is here and it's one of our favorite times of the year.

( It's James favorite of all time)
It's such a great time of year to reflect on what God has given us. Buying and wrapping the presents can be fun a lot of the time but let's not forget Jesus' birth is what Christmas is about.

This time of year I always turn on the radio to Chirstmas music and pretty much listen to it the whole month. (December is the only time of year I will listen to it.)

When ever the song " Christmas time is Here" by Charlie Brown Christmas, comes on I always get a smile on my face. Not only because of the song it self but because of the part in the beginning where Linus describes the meaning of Christmas to Charlie brown.

For some reason it always brings a tear to my eye: )

Linus recites the story of the Nativity from the gospel of Luke.

The simplicity of this decription and hearing a little child explain it is priceless.

Be Blessed this Christmas!

Lots to be Thankful For!

This year was our second year of hosting Thanksgiving, but our 1st year hosting it in our new house! This year we celebrated it with the DeGrado/Krause family. We had about 17 people there and had a great time eating ,eating and eating and playing games. I heard that T-Roy took all the winnings home. Everyone seemed to have a great time and had plenty to eat!

Jacob made his first Thanksgiving cards. They were the place settings for the meal!

The day after Thanksgiving we drove to visit Auntie Stephanie at her new apartment in Imperial Beach, (San Diego). The rest of the Roper clan was down there and we had a great time walking around the town. She lives in such a cute area.
Here are some pics from our walk!
