Our house, is a very very very fine house!

So after all the crazy events in our lives happening at the same time, we are finally getting settled in our house. Any home owner knows that there are always projects when you own a home.

James has been coming home after work and finishing little projects every week! Things are coming along and we are just so happy to have a place to call OURS!
Here are some pics of the "New and Improved DeGrado Villa"

1st of many Photoshoots!

Being a photographer you'd think I'd photograph my little boy almost everyday.
That doesn't always get to happen ;)
The other day I was working in my office downloading a couple weddings and some engagement sessions. Jacob was sitting in his "boppy" just relaxing and having a good time.
He looked so adorable sitting there so I grabbed my camera and started snapping away.
It's gotta be spontaneous I guess. Here are some pictures of our handsome little man ; )

Jacob is 1 month !!

It's crazy to think that it's already been one month since our handsome baby boy was born.
Jacob is doing really good. He's a growing baby boy ; ).
He does everything a baby should do ; eat , pee, poop, sleep and melt our hearts every
time we look into his precious blue eyes!
Just 1 month ago we were sitting in the hospital with the expectation of our lives
changing over night, and boy has it changed.

Today Jacob & I experienced our 1st beach trip to Balboa Beach with Grandma Shoshi ( Rose),
Auntie Shannon and Cousin Josiah.

We had so much fun. We walked around the town and then rode the ferry across the water and hung out on the beach for a while. We had a really good time, Josiah played in the sand as
Baby Jacob slept and enjoyed the ocean breeze! ; )

Jacob Mitchell is Here!!!

On July 18, 2009, our precious baby boy, Jacob Mitchell , was born.
He was born at 8:48 am and was 8 lbs 6 oz 20.5 inches.
My water broke on Friday the 17 th and then after the pitosin, "amazing" epidural, 12 hours of contractions and 3 hours of pushing he still didn't dropped enough. My Doctor decided to do a C-section; let me tell you, I was a bit relieved when I heard that he decided to do this. I got sick 3 times during the pushing process and just was exhausted. My Dr said that he wanted to give me an opportunity to have him naturally because I deserved it :)
The surgery went pretty quick & smooth.
By 8:48 am our precious Jacob Mitchell was born!
